Dr. Jed Ford

Jed Ford graduated from Texas A&M University with a DVM in 1982. He grew up just west of Fort Worth on a small farm caring for dogs, cats and a variety of farm animals. He never wanted to do anything else for a career. In the first grade, when asked what he wanted to be when he grew up, he answered “an animal doctor” because he didn’t know how to spell ‘veterinarian’. He has particular interest in treating exotic animals of all types. He currently has 5 dogs, 1 cat and a number of exotic pets. When he is not working, he enjoys sitting in his backyard beside his 10x20 gold fish pond, complete with waterfall. He also has a peculiar hobby of bee-keeping, which he claims calms him rather than scares him. Dr. Jed Ford was recently honored as President of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. It is with his dedication to his practice and the staff at Family Pet Clinic of Grapevine, North Richland Hills and Richland, that he will be representing 3,500 of his Texas veterinarian colleagues at state and national VMA meetings!
