Graduating from Texas A&M University with a DVM in 1982, Dr. Ford grew up just west of Fort Worth on a small farm caring for dogs, cats and a variety of farm animals. By the time he was 5 years old he knew that the only career he wanted was to become a “dog doctor”, because at that time he could not spell veterinarian.
He founded Family Pet Clinic in 1990 with his interest in treating canine, feline and exotic animals of all types. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association for a number of years and served as the President of that organization in 2013. He currently has 10 household pets of his own, including dogs, cats and even reptiles. His other interest include fishing, wood carving and bee keeping.
