Dr. Jessica Pinckard was born in El Dorado, Arkansas but grew up in Dallas, Texas. She spent many of her summers helping out of her grandparents' farm in rural Louisiana and came to love all species of animals. Dr. Pinckard attended Texas A&M University and received a BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, then went on to earn her MPH (Epidemiology) from the UT Houston Health and Science Center. After that she finally came back to Texas A&M University for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
During her time in vet school, Dr. Pinckard focused on exotic, zoo and wildlife medicine. She spent much of her fourth year externing at exotic exclusive practices, the Dallas Zoo, and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. She hopes to be involved with conservation projects in the near future. Dr. Jessica Pinckard currently shares her home with one cat, but hopes to add some new pets to her family soon! During her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, reading, enjoying nature, and traveling.
